Classified Ads Done Adobe Flex Style!

I haven't been posting much in my blog lately since I've been working on a personal project day and night. I've built a classified ads system using Adobe Flex and although I still have a ways to go, I launched version 1.0 today on PetsBC.com.

Please check it out and let me know what you think. (Good, bad, ugly). There are still a million more features I am planning to implement but I think I'm off to a good start. Also, this is my first large project using Adobe Flex so I am definitely interested in getting some tips from the Flex experts.

  1. Looks sweet so far. Really like the graphics and easy to hit buttons. Deep linking is cool, transitions are nice. I dunno i’d say its great site even without the million additional planned features.

  2. well your app is really quite neat…although it could improve on the aesthetics bit. what are you using for a back end?

i’m also a Flex enthusiast but i work mostly in php. if you interested we can share some code and make some cooler stuph

  3. Hey Ryan! Wow…Flex, huh? I just got a request to build a classified section for a site using Flex. I Googled it to see if anyone else had done it, ad you were the first result! Very cool. How’s life? (and, tell me about your classifieds)

  4. Looks like you’ve done an excellent on the classifieds! Keep up the good work.

  5. Hi Ryan. I am interviewing for a entry-level position as a Classified Representative. I was told Adobe is what the newspaper uses for their Classifieds, so I searched “classifieds using adobe” and found you. Beautiful site. Thanks for posting it.
